Father Pat Ramsbottom R.I.P.

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of one of our club patrons Fr. Pat Ramsbottom.  Fr. Ramsbottom came to the parish as parish priest in 1993 and after his retirement he continued to reside in the parish.  He always showed a keen interest in the club.

He has baptised, confirmed and married many of our members.  He has helped so many – more than maybe he even realised.  He was a saint among men.  Heaven has truly welcomed a special one.   Sólás geal na bhFlaithis ar a anam

Fr. Ramsbottom will be arriving in Christ the King Church, Cooleragh on Saturday (Sept. 10th) at 4.30 pm and will repose there on Saturday evening and on Sunday (Sept. 11th), with prayers on Sunday evening at 7 pm. Requiem Mass on Monday (Sept 12th) at 12 noon, followed by burial in St. Benignus Cemetery, Staplestown. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Irish Cancer Society.
