This is a page to show our plans for the next few years and to explain a little of one of the reasons why we fund-raise. We’ll be adding more news as it develops.

Recently we secured €130,000 from the Capital Sports Grant, this money is going to allow us to start our club development and we’ll be starting with the development of the two back pitches in the next few months. Currently we’re tendering and securing quotes for this work. We have some very exciting times ahead.

August 2016 Update:– We’ve secured a further €47,250 from the Drehid Grant Scheme and work has now started on our two back pitches. Weather will be a big factor here and we would hope to have the work completed by 2017. We also need to raise a further estimated €50,000 to complete this project.

Proposed two new back pitches

Phase 1: The two full size playing fields.

Phase 2: We hope to build an all weather playing pitch.

Phase 3: The Upgrade of the dressing rooms, building and car park.

We also hope to sell off a part of our land for development. Site development is in the planning stage and our Engineer is currently supplying further information to the County Council.

August 2016 Update: We have received planning permission for this development and now need to see how we proceed.

This is a brief description of our future plans.  Phase 1 is started at present and hoping to be completed in 2017. This phase includes two full size playing fields.  The cost of phase 1 will be in the region of €230k.  We have received grants of €177k. In Phase 2 we are hoping to include an all weather playing field.  Phase 3 is upgrading the dressing room, the building and car park.  The every day running of the club costs approx €130k per year plus we have an outstanding loan of €120k for the purchase of the new land and buildings. While the outstanding debts may seem large, with your help they are being managed well.  This will be an ongoing expense to the club for the foreseeable future and we are hoping for continued support.  We would like to thank everyone for their support to date.  Without your help the completion of these projects will not be possible. We are hoping these facilities will be used by young and old for many generations to come.
